Brian Wilson and Cody Ross are down with Taio Cruz

Posted on 19 April 2011 by King Ing

Watch as the greatest lip-syncer on YouTube Keenan Cahill is joined by the San Francisco Giants’ Brian Wilson and Cody Ross in a version of Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite.” Fun is had by all, but more importantly it is to alert people of the “Cody & Keenan” Social Media Fundraiser happening on May 25th during the game with the Florida Marlins.

What we can tell you is that your ticket package will include a very cool “Ross is Boss” shirt jersey and a ticket to the game… Proceeds from ticket sales will help benefit causes dear to both Cody & Keenan.

Btw, it is also singles night at AT&T Park on the 25th.

David Wright is having a ball

Posted on 18 April 2011 by King Ing

David Wright might not be putting up MVP numbers on the field as of yet, but his coolness factor off of it is pretty good. He just gave these young Atlanta Braves’ fans the thrill of a lifetime by playing catch before Sunday’s game. Just a solid thing to do.

Clayton Kershaw: Get down with your bad self

Posted on 04 January 2011 by King Ing

Fresh off showing his freshest moves on his wedding day, Clayton Kershaw decided to take his dance tour to Zambia and show the people over there how to break it down.

I am joking…the pitcher and his wife are part of a goodwill group that is helping build schools and educate the children of the country.

California Correspondent loves Kershaw and is probably drooling somewhere right now.

Evan Fjeld takes Movember seriously

Posted on 18 November 2010 by King Ing

While watching the Vermont-UCONN game last night I couldn’t help but notice a Catamount with unbelievable facial hair. His name is Evan Fjeld. This mustache is unlike any I have ever seen on a basketball player and come to find out it was all grown for a good cause.

Check out Fjeld’s Movember page.

Now this is a basketball league I can get behind

Posted on 28 January 2010 by King Ing

Forget the all white basketball league, everyone should get behind this dwarf basketball team. The NY Towers show us all that “It’s not about your size, it’s about your heart. You can do anything with your heart. Just follow it.”

BTW, these guys all are better than me.

I wonder if the Arsenal FC dressed like this for Halloween

Posted on 18 November 2009 by King Ing

Arsenal can be a spectacle to watch play on the pitch. But off it, they might be even better. This Gunners team is young and fun.

Take this for example. Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas, Andrey Arshavin and Bacary Sagna dress up in furry animal costumes to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity.

The video after the jump. If these people only knew who they were running away from.

The NFL supports breast cancer awareness month and so should you

Posted on 01 October 2009 by King Ing

chad-obchocincos-cleats

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and some NFL players are out to support and raise awareness by wearing pink cleats and gloves during this weekends games. Some of the stars donning the color will be Larry Fitzgerald, Chad Greenway, Chester Taylor, and Brett Favre. Chad Ochocinco (cleats pictured) has even taken to his twitter page and tells us all about his effort to add more to the pink ensemble with a mouthpiece and chinstrap.

Everyone considers the NFL to be full of tough, manly men; so when these athletes decide to do something “on the field” to show their support, it is a great thing to see.

-  Even awesome sites like Midwest Sports Fans and Black Sports Online are joining in and finding their own way to raise awareness (SCP will too, if I could figure out how to change the color of the lettering)

Body by LenDale White

Posted on 03 August 2009 by King Ing

Tequila can be so much fun, but too much can be detrimental to your diet. At least to LenDale White it was. When the RB showed up for Titans training camp light 30 lbs the question had to be asked, How did you lose the weight?

“I really got to be honest,” White said. “It wasn’t a lot of major diet changes. (It was) watching what I drink. I was a big Patron consumer. … That’s what it was. I was drinking a lot, drank a lot of alcohol. I cut that out of my diet all the way. I don’t drink at all. I cut the drinking, I stopped drinking for six months.

“It started falling off.”

Good for him. When your profession depends on you being in peak physical condition it might be a good idea to take things like that more seriously.

Wonder how much weight I could drop if I stopped drinking for six months. My life would probably be a lot less interesting if I did though.

The Showdown in Chinatown without Jackie Chan

Posted on 25 June 2009 by King Ing

soccer

Last night was the second annual “Showdown in Chinatown” charity soccer match featuring Steve Nash and Claudio Reyna. (The event was held at Roosevelt Park, the place where I am going to dominate Asian 3 on3 later this summer).

Unfortunately I was too lazy to attend, but luckily the guys at the Big League Screw weren’t.
