With Citigroup on the verge of shedding 52,000 jobs and with their stock at a measly $3.70 per share, the troubled bank confirmed that they are sticking with their $20 million per year naming rights deal for the Mets new stadium.

Citi’s spokesman Steve Silverman said in a telephone interview Friday, “We remain committed to our relationship to the Mets; it is important to us.” But what about those 52,000 employees they are firing? Aren’t they important too?

As a San Franciscan, I’ve seeen Pac Bell Park flip to SBC Park and then to AT&T Park all within about the span of six years. New Yorker should get ready for the same thing at the brand new Citi Field.

So when Henry Paulson steps up to bail out Citi, should we expect the name to change to Paulson Field or US Treasury Field? I would personally like to see the Saudi’s buy up Citigroup and change the name to something like المملكة العربية السعودية Field. New Yorkers would love that.

While a hot tempered guy on the court, the Pistons Rasheed Wallace seems to be a jokester off of it. Watch here while he rattles off the nicknames he has for some of his Detroit teammates.

I wouldn’t want to be called “The Baby Eater” either.

This Saturday’s key game is a dandy. It features the Graham Harrell and MIchael Crabtree led Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma Sooners (-6.5). Sam Bradford leads an OU offense that actual leads the country in scoring. This game is going to be a shootout, with the total going over the Vegas set 75.

Offense and scoring is what keeps the girls happy.

Maybe you’ve noticed this over the last few years. There haven’t been a lot of things to cheer for at the Garden for Knicks fans.  They’ve been an embarrassing collection of owners, coaches and malcontent players. And yet, through it all, there has been Jamal Crawford. Now, he’s apparently on his way to Golden State for Al Harrington.

Ball Don’t Lie brings us this great T-Mobile commercial with Charles Barkley, Dwyane Wade, and Yao Ming. It has everything you could possibly want. The reactions of Wade and Barkley to the shrimp are fantastic.

It is pure comic genius! EAT THE HEAD!

DeGags is back! After a horrendous first week he comes back with a 16 unit win. If he keeps this up, that case of PBR will be his in no time.

Michigan at Ohio St. One of my favorite rivalries in the past. This is an extremely one sided match up this season. I think that OSU giving 21 points is ridiculous, The Wolverines are that bad, but OSU is not that good. Right? Well, that is exactly why they will cover. The Buckeyes have had a dismal season, they angry and right at the perfect time. OSU wins 40-17, that’s enough to cover. 1 Unit OSU over Michigan -21 ATS.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers played a pretty dreadful game last night. The only play I found semi-interested in was this hit by Chris Crocker. Santonio Holmes ran a quick slant and probably didn’t even see the safety coming.
