Brawl at the Palace: WNBA version

Posted on 23 July 2008 by King Ing

Does it take a fight to make the WNBA relevant? I think so. In the closing seconds of the game, LA Sparks’ Candance Parker leg sweeps someone from the Detroit Shock and a pileup ensues. The benches clear and in the mess, Detroit assistant coach Rick Mahorn “accidently” shoves Lisa Leslie to the ground. And then another Sparks player punches Mahorn in the back. The worse part of the whole thing is Cheryl Ford blowing an ACL while trying to restrain her teammate. Am I going to watch the WNBA now, probably not.
