I heard this story on Mike and Mike in the Morning and was astonished by his feat. Not only is Dale Davis 78 years old, he is also blind. Even though his frame weighs about 115 pounds, Dale insists on using the heaviest ball (16 lbs) allowed. “Fellow bowlers have nicknamed Davis “The Hammer,” for the surprising punch of his rolls. He says he can’t see the lane or the pins and he has “a heck of a time finding my ball sometimes.” What a great accomplishment for the WWII veteran. If I knew how to use the SportsCracklePop-o-Meter he would be hot like fire.

I can’t even break 180 and don’t get me started on Wii bowling. But I do remember my personal greatest moment in the sport was accomplished last year when my team (Rumbald, LC, Tito, and myself) threw 6 straight strikes at the Middletown Bowl-off. Good day and happy rolling!
