Who am I rooting for?
Give me Ben Lamb and Phil Collins.
Lamb is the current WSOP Player of the Year. He is no stranger to running deep in the Main Event as he finished 14th in the 2009. Ben looks to be the best remaining no limit tournament player left in the field and while he sits fifth in chips, it leaves him with a little over 40 big blinds and some room to maneuver.
And then you have Phil Collins. He is backed by Erick Lindgren, which also means he is probably getting some good lessons in strategy from the likes of Jason Mercier. Collins will also have the loudest cheering section..
While we all know that anyone of the November 9 can win this tournament, I just hope the 2011 champion will be a great ambassador for the game. Hopefully prove to the US government and the rest of the world that poker is a game of skill and not luck.
