Of Senators, Sideshows and Shake-like Deserts

Once, when I was in 8th grade, I went to Friendly’s with my friends Izzy and Dave. When the waitress came, Dave asked her if a Fribble was made with real ice cream or if it was just Fribble mix and milk.  Turns out it’s just fribble mix and milk.

Why am I mentioning this story? Because of John Kerry and Chad Ochocinco, of course.

Massachusetts’ senior Senator tweeted this today:

You haven’t arrived in MA without visiting Friendly’s for a Fribble, @ochocinco.

Apparently, a chain restaurant’s mass produced faux milk shake is John Kerry’s idea of an authentic Massachusetts foodstuff. Not chowder. Not seafood. Not baked beans. A Fribble.
