Ben Eager gets his own peepshow from a Canucks fan

Posted on 19 May 2011 by King Ing

It was a rough night for the San Jose Sharks (lost 7-3), especially Ben Eager who somehow logged 20 penalty minutes. But on the bright side he did manage to get flashed by a Canucks fan while sitting in the penalty box.

Somehow Versus didn’t manage to catch this on air. Fortunately for everyone the CBC did. (NSFW)

Can we all be thankful that the Green Men didn’t flash their junk.

Wife catches a foul ball right in front of her husband while holding a baby

Posted on 18 May 2011 by King Ing

As a guy you have to feel for Allen Goodwin. You are lucky if you see one foul ball come into your vicinity in your fandom lifetime. So when it does and you have to watch as your wife snags it from your grasps while holding your 8 month old son it has to hurt.

Can one ever get over this? Will his friends make fun of you for the rest of his life?

The Richmond Flying Squirrels need to let him throw out the first pitch.

Rory McIlroy loves his Jager

Posted on 17 May 2011 by King Ing

Maybe Rory McIlroy was just drinking his pain away after watching his good friend Graeme McDowell complete his collapse at the TPC last weekend. Could he have had flashbacks of his Masters Sunday? (Who knows when this photo was taken)

Probably not, the man was just having a good time.

You got to love athletes that just drink straight from the bottle.

I love cake, especially birthday cake. So anytime an athlete posts a picture of his own celebratory confection I must post the picture. Look at Cam Newton’s cake, it is such a beautiful thing. Now cut me a slice.

How does one celebrate winning the Barclays English Premiere League Title? You shave the number of championships the club has won into your chest hair.

Wonder what Wayne Rooney will do if Manchester United beats Barcelona on May 28th.

Ajax goalie Maarten Stekelenburg drops the trophy off the bus

Posted on 16 May 2011 by King Ing

It looks like Sergio Ramos isn’t the only soccer player with butter fingers. Ajax fresh off their 30th Dutch league championship celebrated in grand fashion with a bus parade through the city of Amsterdam. Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg had the honors of hoisting the trophy on the ride. Unfortunately for him the plate hit some overhead train wires and flew off the bus rolling around on the ground as fans looked on.

Action starts about 33 seconds in.

The Crackle Wonders: Stephen Tignor

Posted on 15 May 2011 by Justin

You may not know this, but before he was the successful host of “The Chair” and the pitchman for some rental car company (Budget? Avis? I can’t remember,) John McEnroe was a tennis player. He was very good one, in fact. His rivalry with Bjorn Borg is one of the best in the history of sports. It all came to a head 30 years ago, in the finals of the US Open. Author Stephen Tignor is taking on the rivalry in his new book, “High Strung,” which hits stores this week.

He was kind enough to give us a few minutes. We talked about what made the rivalry so fierce, what brought it to an end and how it may have had an indirect impact on rock and roll history.
