The 2010-2011 College Bowl Season gets underway

At 2PM today we get the start of 35 college bowl games in 24 days! Kicking off my favorite season is UTEP v BYU and ending with the National Championship game between Auburn and Oregon. Taking a quick glance at some of the matchups I seem to see a few that peak my interest.

The first must watched bowl game of the season pits Boise St against Utah. With backup Terrance Cain starting for the Utes and having to face the 3rd ranked pass defense in the nation points will be at a premium. I just don’t think the Broncos will have their heart into this game and end up coming out sluggish. Give me the under 61.

If you want to see a shootout then you have to tune in for Arizona and Oklahoma St. Watch Nick Foles lead the Wildcats air attack against the Cowboys 115th ranked pass defense. And on the other side you get the prolific offense of Oklahoma St (leads the nation in total offense w 537.6 yards) with the likes of Justin Blackmon, Brandon Weeden, and Kendall Hunter. You want fireworks, the Alamo Bowl will have them. Over 65.5.

I can’t go without speaking on the BCS National Championship game between Oregon and Auburn. This game has offensive explosion written all over it. With Cam Newton and Lamichael James leading their teams there is no way this game doesn’t go over the 74 point total. If I were you guys I would head over to my online sportsbook and parlay the crap out of these three games right now.

Who do you guys like? And don’t worry, I will be picking tons of winners later on as the bowl season moves along. You can take that to the bank.
