War Eagle showed again that they can comeback against pretty much any opponent this weekend in the Iron Bowl. I guess it never hurts to have Molly Sims rooting for your team.

How the game stayed under the 58 point total I have no clue, but am eternally grateful. Can’t wait to see what the over/under will be for the National Championship game against Oregon. My guess is 69.5.

Andre Johnson does what probably every WR that has ever faced Cortland Finnegan has wanted to do…rip his helmet off and punch him in his face.

What Continent is the Middle East in?

Look at a map. Is it Africa?  Is it Asia? Is it Europe?

Most people just consider it a stand alone region. But it must be on a continent. Everything is on a continent.  It really bothers me that I don’t know this. It seems like a piece of knowledge that any educated adult should possess. And yet, I have absolutely no idea.

Geography is hard.

And while we’re on the subject, is a country in a continent or on a continent. And do people live in Long Island or on Long Island? Do you wait in line or on line?

English is hard.

Here’s hoping your football teams win, your family stays calm and you don’t end up eating so much you’re forced to make your Dad pull off I-95 and stop so you can take a massive wet dump at a random restaurant in Greenwich, Connecticut or a Radisson Inn in New Rochelle or a sketchy gas station/mini market across the street from Rye Playland.

So, Justin, you’ve made no secret about the fact that you don’t like college football very much. But, what are your feelings on college basketball?

Well, hypothetical reader posing strangely appropriate questions, I enjoy college basketball quite a bit.

I can’t say I’m a diehard. I don’t have a favorite school and it’s very unlikely that I will sit down on a random Wednesday night and watch an entire game, start to finish, on ESPN. (Partly because it won’t keep my attention and partly because Modern Family is on. GO MANNY!)

A lot of people complain about the NBA. “The players spend too much time going one on one. There isn’t enough team ball.”

Well, I have similar problems with the college game.  I think games tend to turn into 3 point contests, with four players lining up on the perimeter and 1 big guy standing inside trying to draw defenders toward the hoop. I would rather watch players use their athleticism to get to the basket than watch spot up shooters fire from long range all day.

But, at least there’s a way to know who the champion is once the season ends.

Watch as Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo puts on a clinic during a friendly against Spain. First he stretches Gerard Pique into a foolish slide, leaving a helpless Iker Casillas to stare at a beautiful chip into the net.

But of course it doesn’t count as a greedy Nani unnecessarily heads the ball into the net from an offside position.

The result is a typical C-Ron hissy fit.

While watching the Vermont-UCONN game last night I couldn’t help but notice a Catamount with unbelievable facial hair. His name is Evan Fjeld. This mustache is unlike any I have ever seen on a basketball player and come to find out it was all grown for a good cause.
