Did any of you happen to catch Jeopardy last night? If so you saw some riveting television. Especially when it came to the final question. “As of 2010 it’s the only current NFC team that has never played in the Super Bowl?â€
Who are the Jacksonville Panthers? You have to give the lady credit for guessing. At least she didn’t just put “??” like the guy. Someone should take away his man card. I mean how do you not know one NFL team?
I would have crushed that question, but then again I probably would have negative dollars and not have qualified for the Final Jeopardy question.

Damn … were you at my house last night? I said the EXACT same thing about the dude who couldn’t put down any team. As soon as I saw the category, I figured I would have a no-brainer to double my money. You might saw that none of them knew what a perfect bowling score was either. Oh well … I would have gotten wiped out by 19th Century Operas last night.
July 30th, 2010 at 12:00 pm
Or English grammar … I meant to say “You might have seen that none of them …”
July 30th, 2010 at 12:22 pm
That’s a bad question. NFC West Seattle Seahawks have also never played in a Super Bowl.
July 30th, 2010 at 12:23 pm
Why did he risk 5000 on the answer “??”
July 30th, 2010 at 12:24 pm
KD, the Seahawks lost to the Steelers in 2005. Remember how much they complained about all the bad calls in that game?
July 30th, 2010 at 12:25 pm
KD: Might want to check Super Bowl XL
July 30th, 2010 at 12:26 pm
False, Super Bowl XL – Seahawks/Steelers
July 30th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Dude, KD, if you’re going to be so brazen as to promote your blog by linking your handle to it, you might want to make sure you have a clue what you’re talking about. CREDIBILITY FAIL.
July 30th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
KD…….thank God YOU were’t on last night. Last time I checked, Seattle lost to Pittsburgh in 2006, 21-10. Hopefully, you are not a dude or you have some ‘splaining!!!!!!!!
July 30th, 2010 at 12:55 pm
to Anthony:
You have to make the wager before you see the question
July 30th, 2010 at 1:05 pm
Did the lady say she didn’t care? It’s just as much of a trivia question as some character from a Bill Shakespeare play in the 1600′s
July 30th, 2010 at 1:10 pm
I might be forgetting, but the Carolina Panthers have never been to a Superbowl….have they????
July 30th, 2010 at 1:16 pm
I was wrong….2004 Patriots beat Carolina.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:17 pm
This question is indeed bad. I don’t recall the Atlanta Falcons in the super bowl either.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:44 pm
@Anthony: They have to wager before they get to see the question (answer).
July 30th, 2010 at 1:45 pm
@Mike: The Falcons beat the Vikings in 1998 to get to the Super Bowl, damn Falcons.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:51 pm
Hold on… since when do you only get 2,000 for second place and 1,000 for third place? That’s B.S. You should get the money you earned.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:51 pm
1998 atlanta vs. denver? 34 – 19 loss for the dirty birds
July 30th, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Mike,
Broncos over Falcons in John Elway’s final game in the NFL, Super Bowl XXXIII.
Seriously, can people not Google this stuff???
July 30th, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Sorry, mike, check XXXIII, Falcons lost to Elway’s broncos
July 30th, 2010 at 1:53 pm
Also in that Falcons game, my Iowa Hawkeye homeboy Tim Dwight returned a kickoff for a TD!
July 30th, 2010 at 1:54 pm
@ Mike, the Falcons lost to the Broncos in 1999.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:56 pm
The Lions, people. It’s the Lions. The Falcons lost to the Broncos. The question seems fine to me.
July 30th, 2010 at 1:57 pm
Falcons were in Super Bowl 33 (’99) and lost to Elway and the Broncos. Remember the Dirty Birds?
July 30th, 2010 at 2:02 pm
@Mike… Atlanta Falcons was my answer to, but turns out they played in XXXIII in ’99 and lost to Denver.
July 30th, 2010 at 2:06 pm
Atlanta lost to the Broncos in XXXIII
July 30th, 2010 at 2:16 pm
The Detroit Lions. And they never will.
HA
July 30th, 2010 at 2:43 pm
You guys are horrible! This question is horrible! Alex Trebek needs to do better research. We all know there’s 3 NFC teams that have never been to a SB. Lions, Cowboys and Redskins. I also think the Giants didn’t go to one.
July 30th, 2010 at 2:46 pm
I also forgot the Yankees have yet to get to the Super Bowl.
July 30th, 2010 at 7:52 pm
Wow, for all the smack talking you all are doing, it’s amazing that nobody actually knew the correct answer of the Lions. Maybe it’s because I’m a Bears fan and hence follow the NFC North, but I don’t feel anyone commenting has the right to criticize either the chick or the dude from the show…
July 30th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Mike:
She definitely said she didn’t care. And because of that, I couldn’t be happier that she lost. She’s trying to sound like her knowledge base is more refined than that of Jeopardy, and in turn, looks like an ass.
July 30th, 2010 at 10:03 pm
Jimmy D: The woman who said she didn’t care won the game.
jh: They pay that for 2nd and 3rd place so people will bet to win rather than settle for a larger sum when the chances of overtaking the leader are slim.
August 2nd, 2010 at 3:39 pm
Whatareyoutalkingabout, I really hope you’re kidding. Cowboys have been to eight, Redskins to five and Giants to four. You must be an Eagle fan. The only NFC East team to never WIN a Superbowl!
August 4th, 2010 at 8:44 am
@YouWillis – Are you kidding? Look at his next answer. Of course he was kidding… Don’t be so easily baited.
