Chris Robinson from The Black Crowes wins NL Cy Young

California Correspondent November 20, 2009 0

blackcroweschrisrobinson2In a heated contest for the 2009 NL Cy Young award, Kate Hudson’s ex-husband and lead singer of the Black Crowes, Chris Robinson, was honored as the only professional musician to win the Cy Young award two consecutive years in a row.

In an effort to upstage Arod, his ex-wife’s new boytoy, Robinson led the NL with 261 strikeouts this year and has stolen back the heart of Ms. Hudson. In honor of this year’s award ceremony, Robinson shaved his trademark beard.  Check out the photos below of Robinson at the press conference and rekindling his relationship with Kate now that he’s proved that he can play in the major leagues too.
