EA Sports is doing some heavy promoting for NBA Live 10. Even getting coverboy Dwight Howard into the mix by sending him all over California playing anyone, anywhere. As evidenced by these two videos featuring him taking on elementary school kids and a mariachi band.
A lot of people have spoken out since it was announced that Rush Limbaugh was being considered as a potential part owner of the St. Louis Rams. There have been comments from former and current players, The head of the players union, and even Al Sharpton. But, none of the comments have come from anyone who actually had a say in the process. Until now:
After seeing Owen Schmitt bash his own head with his helmet I didn’t think another player could make himself look like more of a jackass on Sunday. Leave it to Dre Bly to prove me wrong. With the 49ers down 35-10, Bly picks off Matt Ryan and starts running the ball back. A little “Primetime” move at his own 23 yard line and next thing you know the ball is gone. Mike Singletary probably ripped him a new one.
I am writing this hungover and sad as I had to watch the whole bar sing NEW YORK, NEW YORK in my face after watching Alex Rodriguez hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth and Mark Teixeira hit the game winner thereafter. Bitter much?!?!?!
Don’t expect stats on these picks. These are based on dumb reasoning.
Minnesota Vikings vs St. Louis Rams 1PM
I think Bill Simmons says it the best. “Crazy stat: The Vikings average more points (29.5) than St. Louis has scored in all four games (24). And aren’t we overdue for an Adrian Peterson “I’m Going To Win You This Week Single-handedly” Fantasy Week? They can’t make this line high enough.”
If that stat doesn’t say it all, picture Jared Allen against a offensive line 20 times worse than the Packers

If there’s one thing Matt Holliday can be grateful for it’s that the ball didn’t bounce off his nuts and go over the wall. Holliday now has more in common with Jose Canseco than he’d like.
It was a pretty uneventful, yet positive start to the handicapping season for me. Hopefully this week brings me better luck.
And yes, this week there will be NFL picks as a couple games distinctly stand out.
Auburn vs Arkansas 12PM
The hype surrounds Arkansas’ Ryan Mallet, but in my opinion Auburn’s Chris Todd (12 TD‘s 1 INT this season) has been the better QB thru five weeks. With his efficient passing and the Tigers ability to control the ground game look for Auburn to pull away at the end in what is expected to be a shootout.
Pick – 2 unit Auburn -2
Purdue vs Minnesota 12PM
Both teams are in need of a win to keep their bowl hopes alive. Unfortunately for the Boilermakers their secondary is atrocious. Minnesota’s Eric Decker will exploit it for double digit catches and the defense will do just enough to cover the number.
I have to give credit where credit is due. Somehow the Kardashian clan remains on the covers of every tabloid in the country without having any discernible talent. Where do I sign up for this? Whether it be Kourtney’s pregnancy or Khloe’s nuptials to Lamar Odom; this family finds new ways to stay in the limelight. And of course not to be upstaged is the sister that started it all. Kim rekindled her relationship with Reggie Bush and somehow scored the cover of FHM South Africa.
Seriously, I am a no talent ass-clown. Why can’t I get the cover of People Magazine?
