So last Saturday night Ricky gets all dressed up in his Alabama Crimson Tide gear to watch the game vs Virginia Tech with some friends. What was suppose to be a fun night watching football turns into a YouTube video after an apparent bad call. Young Ricky proceeds to go on one of the greatest tirades of all time. Mike Gundy would be oh so proud.
Possibly my favorite moment was Ricky taking a chair to a table. Then after being told that the table wasn’t his, he picks it up and gently puts it back into place. How his friends aren’t shocked or even laughing is such a surprise. Like this is an everyday occurrence. If one of my friends did this I would laughing hysterically. I seriously need to fly down and check out a SEC football game one of these days.
Well, we’ve come to the end of another season of HBO Sports’ best idea ever. Tonight marked the season finale of “Hard Knocks; Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals.“Â It also marked the end for a number of Bengal hopefuls, who will spend their careers on the fringes of NFL rosters
Rafael Nadal is a handsome man, but officials in Queens request that you please refrain from physically embracing him.
Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown announced today that a Briarwood resident who ran out onto the tennis court at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Stadium last night and hugged tennis player Rafael Nadal following his U.S. Open’s Men’s Singles match against Gael Monfils has been charged with criminal trespass and interfering with a professional sporting event.
If you missed this past weekend in college football, Trey and Sparty give you all the analysis you need. Hopefully this helps me out with my gambling picks this Saturday [Sparty and Friends]
In the mayoral race, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, who has been trotting out daily endorsements for weeks and who is hardly a sports fan, is poised to get the nod today from Jorge Posada, the Yankees catcher.
For the Mayor’s sake, Let’s hope Yankee fans don’t shake off Posada the way Yankee Pitchers do.
The New York Post has written a semi-in depth article on the possible future Mrs. Derek Jeter. The main point seems to be that she’s a normal girl more concerned with doing her job than with making headlines.
“There are celebrities who know how to play the game and do it really well, and Minka is not like that,†our insider tells us. “She doesn’t even read the tabloids anymore.â€
Over the last couple of years Novak Djokovic’s US Open experience has had its highs and lows. Back in 2007, he won over the New York faithful with his impersonations of Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal. Then in 2008, Novak attacked Andy Roddick in a post match interview that brought out the boo birds.
But maybe because its an odd numbered year, Djokovic felt the need to win the crowd over again. He broke out a spot on imitation of John McEnroe and even got the lefty to come down and hit a couple balls with him.
Kim has some catching up to do. While the most famous of the Kardashian sisters had a relationship with Reggie Bush, it is the youngest Khloe that now leads the family in athletes dated with three. First there was Rashard McCants, then Derrick Ward, and now US Weekly reports she is seeing another NBA player.
“E! reality star Khloe Kardashian is dating Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.
On Thursday, Khloe, 25, and Lamar, 29, hit West Hollywood’s Guys and Dolls, dancing and holding hands all night.
In their booth, “He was holding her hand and every time a good song came on, she would pull him up to dance and steal kisses here and there,” a source tells Us. “There is no denying the chemistry between those two.”
The Kardashian sisters could have covered all three major sports. Too bad Kourtney only likes d-bags like Scott Disick.
