Kelly Brook is unbelievably hot and has dated the likes of Jason Stathom and Billy Zane. Unfortunately that was never good enough to get her a post on SCP. Until now that is. This amazing young lady is currently dating rugby player Danny Cipriani. See, now that Kelly has entered the realm of athletic-pop culture I am able to plug her new charitable venture “Heels that Heal.”
Actually all I really wanted to do was post these pictures.

So this is what retired NFL linebackers do with their free time. Junior Seau was in Ontario over the weekend for something called the PBR. He was working as one of the Dickies Durabullfighters while filming an episode of his new TV series “Sports Jobs with Junior Seau.†As you can see in the video Seau didn’t exactly know what he was doing. Score one for the animals.

Unfortunately Stafon Johnson experienced something I have feared all my life. While bench pressing 275 lbs the bar slipped out of Johnson’s right hand and fell onto his throat, crushing his neck and larynx. Thankfully L.A. sports anchor Curt Sandoval tells us that the USC RB is expected to make a “full recovery” after undergoing 7 hours of surgery.
Here is the address if you’d like to mail a card for support.

Kentucky’s Taylor Wyndham inflicted some pain on Tim Tebow, but I think it was his Gator teammate that caused more damage than anything. The way that he hit his head on the offensive lineman’s knee was pretty ferocious.
Hopefully all is well and he can get back on the field for Florida’s visit to LSU in a couple weeks. Yet after looking at this picture, I actually wonder if they will clear him to play.

There were some exciting finishes in Week 3. From Andre Caldwell catching a game winning TD with 4 seconds left to Devin Hester breaking one to cover the spread in the Bears/Seahawks game. None though were more amazing than Brett Favre’s pass to Greg Lewis.
Hmmm….The Patriots could have used the hands of Greg Lewis. Why did they cut him again?

Who else watched Michael Strahan’s debut as a Thespian? What? Just me? You didn’t sit home on a Friday night specifically to watch a former football star portray a former football star on an awkward Fox sitcom?
Here are some impressions:

This can’t make Bud Selig happy:
An Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll released Friday found that two out of five baseball fans say they would rather watch a regular-season NFL game than a major league playoff matchup.
“That’s kind of a bitter pill to swallow for a ballplayer,” Seattle infielder Josh Wilson said. “The NFL is booming right now. I’m sure that question 15 or maybe even 10 years ago, an overwhelming majority would have rather watched baseball playoffs.”
The poll also found that that most fans expect the Yankees to beat the Cardinals in the World Series, which they will not watch because the NFL network is replaying an intra-squad scrimmage from Seahawks training camp in the summer of 1994.
