Lauren Conrad is my perfect pitch

Posted on 08 June 2009 by King Ing

As most of my seven readers know, I love The Hills and especially heart Lauren Conrad. So when she threw out the first pitch at the LA Dodgers game on Saturday you knew these pics would be showing up.

NBC gets Federer and Nadal to re-play Wimbledon today

Posted on 07 June 2009 by California Correspondent

Roger Federer winning his first French Open today was so exciting that NBC somehow got him and Nadal to replay last year’s Wimbledon final live on TV today. Or at least that’s what NBC wanted us to believe.

Cause I Know You’ve Been Wondering

Posted on 06 June 2009 by Justin

The New York Post’s Kevin Kernan caught up with former Yankee Kevin Maas in today’s paper.

It turns out that, while he was an incredibly one-dimensional player, Maas is actually quite a well rounded human being. He has an engineering degree from Berkeley (the University of California.. not the online degree mill that advertises on TV) and is a financial consultant with Charles Schwab out in the Bay Area.

The best story, though, may be about the young player Maas shared a locker with, during his second go around with the Yankee organization, playing for Triple A Columbus:

Price vs. Price: Score One for the Meteorologist

Posted on 05 June 2009 by California Correspondent

dave-price-vs-david-price

Meteorologist Dave Price gets the best of David Price and the Rays today. The game is rained out in the Bronx and those bastards at Stubhub aren’t refunding my tickets. With my luck the game will probably get rescheduled for a Tuesday afternoon at 1pm or some other time I can’t go.

Lil Dez makes Lebron James cry

Posted on 05 June 2009 by King Ing

I thought that the loss by the Cavs would lead to the end of the Kobe Bryant and Lebron James puppet campaign. Of course it wouldn’t. Nike one ups me again with a new commercial featuring Lil Dez annoying the crap out of LBJ.

Keenan Thompson probably didn’t even show up to do the voice over.

Lil Wayne pays homage to Kobe Bryant

Posted on 05 June 2009 by King Ing

I know Lil Wayne has enough tracks for more than 100 mix tapes, but this is getting serious. The hottest rapper in the world releases a song about the one and only Kobe Bryant. Wonder if KB24 listened to this before he went out there and put 40 on the Magic last night?

I don’t think Shaq bought his wife a plane

Posted on 05 June 2009 by King Ing

While everyone this morning is talking about this Shaquille O’Neal’s tweet, “This is what van gundy and dwight howards baby would look like;” I chose to focus on the plane people are saying was bought for his wife. Just look at the picture of Shaunie’s face. Has there ever been a more blatant photoshop job on the internet?

This is just another example in which you put something on the internet and everyone believes it. Although if this isn’t a photoshop, I apologize. And if so, did it really have to be so ostentatious?

Softball Guy is back!!!

Posted on 04 June 2009 by King Ing

JoeSportsFan finally gives my all time favorite softball player a camera to chronicle his upcoming season.

I would pay to see this guy play. And then heckle him to no end. He looks like he has gained a couple Larry Birds.

Wonder if he has ever thrown out a fat chick trying to tag up on him from deep left field? I HAVE!

Here’s Your Real 2009 NBA Finals Preview

Posted on 04 June 2009 by Justin

A couple of days ago, King Ing asked me if I wanted to write an NBA Finals preview.

What am I going to add, though? I can say Lakers in 6 or Magic in 7.  I know as much as any of you. I already wrote about the most interesting angle of this series.

But, The King asks, so I deliver.
