Guessing Kenyon Martin didn’t accept Cuban’s apology

Posted on 12 May 2009 by King Ing

I wouldn’t want to be alone in a dark alley with Kenyon Martin. He scares me. And by the looks of it, Mark Cuban wants none of that either. When someone uses the phrase “f*ggot motherf*cker,” there is a pretty good chance that person doesn’t really want to hear your apology.

Pittsburgh Penguins fan has a funny playoff beard

Posted on 12 May 2009 by King Ing

I have to admit that my love of hockey went away once the Hartford Whalers moved to Carolina. But it still doesn’t stop me from watching the occasional game (when I bet on it). One such game will be Game 7 between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. Who do I root (bet) for?

This guy might have swung my money. This is fandom at its best/worst. Hairy chest guy just made me bet on Pittsburgh.

Do teams still grow playoff beards anymore?

Little Mac ages pretty well

Posted on 12 May 2009 by King Ing

Has it really been 15+ years since Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out hit the market? Now that the new version is about to be released, Nintendo comes out with a viral video of Little Mac’s training. Did anyone ever guess that the small, short boxer would end up being Paul Malignaggi.

And who is Piston Hondo guy?

The Kenyon Martin and Mark Cuban saga continues…

Posted on 12 May 2009 by King Ing

Cuban

Everyone has heard of the verbal exchange that occured after game 3 between Kenyon Martin’s mom, Lydia Moore and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. And like any good son would, K-Mart stands up and comes to his mom’s aid.

“It’s a little personal, and I’m going to take care of it,” Martin said. “I’m not going to do the whole media thing, back and forth. That’s his thing. I’m more of a face-to-face type of dude.”

Well Cuban might have gotten the message, but last night a couple of Dallas fans didn’t head the warning. During an altercation between Carmelo Anthony and Antoine Wright, Kenyon went over to the Nuggets bench and unleashed on a couple fans sitting by his mom.

Madonna switches teams

Posted on 12 May 2009 by King Ing

madona-jesus

What does one do when things go sour in a relationship? Most remove themselves away from anything that reminds them of their former flames. And if you are Madonna, that means switching your allegiance from the New York Yankees to the crosstown rival Mets.

“Madge took her kids, Lourdes, Rocco and David, to see the Mets play at Citi Field on Mother’s Day, and just to rub salt in A-Rod’s wounds, brought new flame Jesus Luz. The group sat in Jerry Seinfeld’s seats with Anderson Cooper, whom they’d partied with Saturday night at the Monkey Bar.”

Actually it could just be a coincidence, but speculation is always fun. I mean who could turn down Seinfeld’s seats. The guy has the best in the house.

Leave it to Baba Booey

Posted on 11 May 2009 by tommy neumann

Gary Dell’ Abate, the famed Howard Stern Show producer, threw out the first pitch at the Mets game Saturday at CitiField. As you can see he obviously hasn’t thrown a baseball since little league. Check out how big his teeth are at the end of the video when he does his sheepish smile. Gary is one of the most socially awkward guys you will ever come across, but damn is he funny as hell.

Glen “Big Baby” Davis with the game winner

Posted on 11 May 2009 by King Ing

If you are the Boston Celtics, who do you call on to shoot with the game on the line? Ray Allen or Paul Pierce of course. But with both being well defended you go to the third option, none other then Glen Davis. Big Baby hit the game winner last night to tie the series and shift the momentum back to Boston.

It was weird as I found what happened after just as enjoyable as the shot itself. The interwebs have been going crazy over Big Baby running over the 8 year old Magic fan. It was like a bull charging at a matador.

Other things I enjoyed was the kid in the Lebron jersey going crazy; with the rest of the Celtics bench celebrating, the lost look on Brian Scalabrine’s face, and the shouting match between Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard.

Big Baby shoving the kid out of the way after the jump…

Knicks are a long way away from ’73

Posted on 10 May 2009 by tommy neumann

knicks-1973

Today is an anniversary for all New York Knicks fans. On May 10, 1973 the Knicks won the last of their two NBA titles, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers four games to one. It’s been 36 years since we won it all, well before I was even born. That winning team featured Earl “The Pearl” Monroe and Walt “Clyde” Frazier in the backcourt as they battled the legendary Wilt Chamberlain in his final NBA game. It was the third time in four years these two teams played for the title.

The day is an unfortunate reminder of just how bad things have gotten at The Garden. Continue Reading

The reason why the Denver Nuggets are playoff juggernauts

Posted on 10 May 2009 by King Ing

Forget about the trade for Chauncey Billups or Carmelo Anthony’s realization that the team comes first. The number one reason why the Denver Nuggets have a 3-0 series lead against the Mavericks is this music video. Rocky the Mountain Lion has teamed up with Cole Hernandez to recreate the video that Rob Dyrdek did on “The Fantasy Factory.” If this doesn’t get a team excited, I don’t know what will.

Don’t tell me you can’t picture Linus Kleiza dancing to this.
