SNL decided to spoof the TNT Basketball Studio team and the affinity of the network to place so many in game ads. Very clever and Will Ferrell dustbusting a baby was too funny.

Keenan Thompson played Charles Barkley and since there was no other black guy on the cast they didn’t have anyone to play Kenny Smith.
