Happy Birthday to Don Mattingly

Justin April 20, 2009 5

April 2oth is a popular day in history, and not always for good reasons. But, it’s also the day that the greatest defensive first baseman in history was born. It’s been a good week leading up to the big day for Donnie Baseball. His Dodgers completed an undefeated week with a major offensive showing.

It’s also this guy’s birthday, and the anniversary of Michael Jordan scoring an NBA playoff record 63 points in a double overtime loss to the Celtics in 1986.

Justin supports same-sex marriage so he has a chance marrying Donnie-Baseball.

donnie was a heck of a player. i remember the late 80s and the last weekend of the season we would always battle for the batting title. i have much respect for # 23. he means as much to the yankees as gehrig, ruth, mantle, or joe d, etc. long live donnie baseball!
