So this one party that Michael Phelps attended in South Carolina not only ruined his reputation, it also put a mini dent in his wallet. According to Page Six, Phelps was outgunned at a game of beirut.
“The Olympics hero lost a pile of money betting in a high-stakes session of the drinking game beer pong, in which players wing pingpong balls into plastic cups. “I saw Phelps pull out a roll, a bank-wrapped $2,000. He said, ‘I’ll match the $2,000,’ ” onlooker Michael Whitworth told the State newspaper. “Good ol’ Phelpsie lost it, too.”
Poor Mikey! What else could have happened on this one night? He probably should have just stayed home and watched tapes of the Olympics.

I think this whole Phelps issue is in a way being blown out of water. I understand what he did was illegal. However what about the NBA players who do this, they get a slap on the wrist. Lets remember Phelps is 23, so only a few short years ago he was in college at University of Michigan. Who do you think the the Athletic Director preferred to keep an eye on, swimmer Michael Phelps, or Star Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards. Phelps is just getting his limelight now, and not react as well as he should, however again I feel its out of proportion.

Wow.. great way to sell your product. Pool Pong is awful. Its a completely different game where you just throw the balls in the cup. Its like Bozzo’s Grand Prize Game….lame
