Wow, that was fast. According to the Daily Mail via Gazzetta dello Sport, David Beckham is ready to give up his 5 year, $200 million dollar contract with the LA Galaxy to play full-time with Italian juggernaut AC Milan.

“Insiders at AC Milan said Beckham had ‘fallen in love’ with Milan and enjoyed its climate because it was very similar to Britain’s.

His contract ties him to LA Galaxy until the latter half of 2011, but he can get out after three which would be in October.

The former Real Madrid winger would therefore be able to move to Milan in the 2010 January transfer window but Beckham feels this is to late as he would be almost 35.

He wants to ensure regular football so he can play in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa for his beloved England and Fabio Capello’s No 2 Franco Baldini has been keeping an eye on him.”

Will there be a place for him on the 2010 team? With players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and David Bentley still holding strong; would Becks even see the pitch?

Then again, maybe he misses Europe. Those flights back and forth from Los Angeles must be a bitch. And the way Victoria and he have been hitting up Milan Fashion Week it might be the right place for them. Perez Hilton is not going to be happy if this becomes reality.
