Cristiano Ronaldo has a deal in place to play for Real Madrid?

If the Spanish media is correct, than Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing at the Bernabeu next year. Reports have come out saying that a secret deal is in place for the transfer of the Manchester United winger.

Sky Sports expert Guillem Balague insists that the newly crowned FIFA World Player of the Year has agreed a deal to join the Spanish champions – despite denials from Manchester United.

Madrid president Ramon Calderon is said to have sanctioned a transfer fee of £77million – rising to £105m with clauses – with the 23-year-old picking up £11m per year, plus £7.25m for his agent Jorge Mendes.

The huge £210,000 a week wages would dwarf the £120,000 he is paid at Old Trafford and Madrid are said to be encouraged that the weakening of the pound against the euro puts them in a stronger position than last summer.”

If the numbers are right, I find it hard for anyone to pass up that deal. Especially since Cristiano had dreams about playing for Real Madrid from an early age.

Wait, if this happens his agent makes how much? Somewhere Scott Boras is jealous and plotting his way into representing soccer athletes around the world.
