Kobe’s pre-game prep: DVDs in the whip

The LA Times discovers the secret to Kobe’s success. He gets 8-12 minute video clips of each individual player that’s he’ll guard, in addition to game clips. Kobe watches these in the Range Rover, in the lockerroom and on the go.

For the Christmas Day game against Boston, he received 12 edited minutes of three Celtics starters: Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen. Less than 48 hours later, he received 11 minutes of three Golden State players: Stephen Jackson, Kelenna Azubuike and Marco Belinelli.

This only goes to show why Kobe is a hoops star and King Ing isn’t. He’d be watching The Hills on the way to the game in the Range Rover (that he doesn’t have).
