Will the Predators or Sabres catch a RIM job?

California Correspondent December 12, 2008 1

Jim BalsillieJim Balsillie, the Canadian billionaire and founder of the RIM Blackberry, is rumored to be looking at the Buffalo Sabres and the Nashville Predators as acquisitions that he can bring up to Ontario. Balsillie made a failed bid attempt for the Predators about a year ago, only to lose out to this investor named Boots Del Biaggio, who was just indicted for fraud by the SEC (side note: how could a guy named “Boots Del Biaggio” be anything but slimy?).

Del Biaggio’s share of the Predators could be auctioned off by the Feds as soon as the Spring. And as far as the Sabre’s go, if you have any friends from Buffalo, you know they talk like Canadians — so both teams are great targets for Canada’s richest businessman.

People from Buffalo talk like Canadians eh ? I would say that that Western New York accent is unique to the area.
