King Ing November 26, 2008 4

Lebron James new sneakers, the LeBron VI will be released on Black Friday and to help people keep that in mind Nike is releasing this unbelievable commercial. The Swoosh has an ingenious advertising team as their contents remains so innovative, yet so simple.

BTW, can’t wait to see Lebron in a Celtics uniform in 2010!

I enjoy this website quite a bit. But I think you need more New York Knicks coverage. I am tired of reading Lebron James related news. He’ll just have to waste his talent in Cleveland until 2010 – when he will finally have a chance to join a real basketball team, the Knicks. Lebron wants to be the King of New York — not a third tier city, like Boston.

The New York Knicks will make a deep playoff run this season. Gird your loins and mark my words. Just wait until Cuttino “Cat” Mobley is unleashed. Just wait until Eddy “Two Ton” Curry gets in shape. Just wait until Jared Jeffries returns. Just wait. Just wait until the The Rooster’s back fully heals. Then you will have something to write about to the tune of a 10+ game winning streak. Forget about Lebron. The Knicks have what it takes to make a deep playoff run now. Now. I’m talking about right now – this season.

Just look at the past few games the Knicks have played since the big trades. Even with only 7-8 players dressed, the Knicks were able to keep up with their full strength opponents. Once we have the full team – it’s gonna be lights out for opponents.

So let’s focus on now – instead of 2010. But let’s also acknowledge that, thanks to Donnie Walsh’s genius, we have a chance to “pull a Celtics” and sign two or three all-star players in one off-season. I can picture Lebron James and D-Wade in NY come 2010. I would even settle for Nash and Bosh.

Oh, one more thing. I think we can all agree that Isiah Thomas was a horrific coach. But he did make some excellent draft picks as team president. David Lee, Nate Robinson, and Wilson Chandler continue to be the best players on the Knicks’ roster, in my honest opinion. So lay off Zeke. We had some terrible seasons under Zeke – but he made some good draft picks that provide the Knicks with a good, young core.

Just gird your loins and mark my words – the Knicks are going to surprise a lot of people this year. Coach Mike is a proven winner. I would absolutely love to see the Knicks get in as the number 8 seed and knock the Celtics out in the first round. I think Boston fans will appreciate being spared yet another embarrassing KG “anything is possible” moment. KG is a parody of himself.

Knicks Fan Club, I suppose you haven’t been paying much attention to the rest of the league.
8-8 isn’t good. The Knicks won’t make the playoffs this year. If they do somehow get in, they’ll be an 8 seed and get swept immediately in the first round. Don’t get me wrong, they won’t have a horrendous season like they are so accustomed to. They’ll be a few games below .500. Also, Cuttino Mobley? Really? Let’s get serious, he hasn’t been good since his days in Houston. Eddy Curry has potential, but as long as he’s in NY, he won’t do anything. Jared Jeffries? He’s a subpar player at best. Now, let’s take a look at Cleveland. 14-3 speaks for itself. LeBron has managed to carry his team to a decent record and run in the playoffs in past years, but the teamwork was horrible. Now I’m not a Cleveland fan, but LeBron is playing the best basketball of his career right now. As is the rest of his team. The team is working together, which is why the Cavs are winning. In my opinion, the finals will be between the Cavs and the Lakers. Both are playing outstanding basketball right now.

Lastly, I’d just like to say that you do realize the Celtics won the championship last year right? You do? Ok, just making sure I heard correctly when you were talking about KG. The only embarrassing moments related to KG are inflicted on guys he plays against. Nothing embarrassing about a ring. Maybe you’ll get one eventually NY. ;)
