Rockets and Suns engage in a fight/shoving match

Last night in the NBA was pretty eventful The Houston Rockets went into Phoenix and defeated the Suns, but the bigger story was the shoving match that ensued near the end of the third quarter. With his team down close to 20 points, Matt Barnes looked frustrated and shoved Rafer Alston on a screen. To which the NYC product took exception and got in Barnes face. As Yao tried to keep peace, Steve Nash comes barreling in giving “Skip to my Lou” an elbow. Tracy McGrady shoves Nash and then Shaq starts shoving everyone.

While all this happened, Ron Artest was sitting on the bench.

Paul Pierce game winner after the jump…

The Atlanta Hawks look like a team to be reckoned with this year. They took the Boston Celtics to 7 games in last years playoffs and started this campaign undefeated. It was an outstanding game where the lead went back and forth until a Marvin WIlliams 3-pointer from the corner put the Hawks up one with 6 seconds left. Unfortunately for the young Hawks that left too much time for “The Truth,” as he drained a fadeaway over Al Horford to win the game.
