A Busy Week for the US Open Seamstress

While the top US Open players all have their marquee sponsors, the lower-ranked up-and-coming tennis players end up with last minute single-game sponsors, which can get them up to $5,000 for a highly visible match. During the televised match on Sunday evening, John McEnroe commented that the US Open now keeps a seamstress in the locker room for sewing on these patches prior to game-time. If that seamstress is smart, she would negotiate a percentage of each patch that she sews on, create a union of sports seamstresses, and then declare that they all deserve a raise.
