Don’t You Forget About Me
August 27, 2008 – 3:14 pm by JustinIt’s not just a song from Dara Torres’s senior year in high school. It’s also apparently her mantra.
Two weeks after winning a silver medal at the age of 41, the swimmer was just on CNN. She wasn’t discussing her near victory in Beijing. She wasn’t discussing women’s issues. She wasn’t even discussing her thoughts on what’s going on in Denver. In fact, she wasn’t discussing anything, because she was out cold.
CNN just aired Dara Torres’s arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Sanjay Gupta was right there, along with a camera man and a sound guy and probably a producer. How desperate is this woman to stay in the public eye?

One has to ask who is more desperate to stay in the limelight with ‘Hollywood’ production surgery on Dana Torres, or the reporter of the article writing the title “Doctor’s Dive In” !!! Couldn’t he come up with a better title line—geez!! Shame, shame.

Dana Torres? Have you ever heard of the word competition? That’s why she still competes, she’s a competitor…just like Brett Farve, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, amd Michael Jordan. The competitive drive in these athletes is what keeps them at the top of their game and in the game. Dana is #2 in the world in the 50, how about you Joanie?
