A 24-hour wiffleball game breaks all types of records

Steady Burn points out that 10 guys played a marathon game of wiffleball that broke all types of records and more importantly raised $1500 for charity.

“The final score? Brozich’s white team scored 935 runs, and the blue team scored 514. The game ended in the top of the 149th inning, said Brozich’s wife, Kendra, Some guys hit — what? — 150, 200 home runs.”

Sounds insane, but what kind of pitching was this. Straight lob pitches? No way I would be lobbing the ball over. There is a reason they call me “The Lawnmower Man.” It’s because I straight mow batters down.

I wonder if we played a game of “beer ball” (finish a beer before you can cross home plate) and ended up with a score like that. I don’t think we would have made it out of the first inning. Shoutout to the Pet Shop Boys from Susquehanna University for introducing that game to me.
