Drew Bledsoe, Rick Mirer and other former QB’s sue UBS
August 26, 2008 – 11:35 pm by King IngDrew Bledsoe and Rick Mirer will forever be remembered as the first and second pick in the 1993 NFL Draft. Now TMZ says they can be linked in another manner; this time as co-plaintiffs. Along with former quarterbacks Craig Nall and Alex Van Pelt they are suing the Swiss bank, UBS.
“Drew says he invested a bundle in a company called Pay by Touch through UBS, but the bank concealed the criminal past of John Rogers, the founder of Pay by Touch. Rogers raised $130 mil from investors — but made a grand total of $700K.”
Damn, John Rogers and Pay by Touch went through a lot of cash. I don’t know how this case will turn out, but if history indicates Mirer, Nall, and Van Pelt have no chance of winning anything.
