Cuban Angel Matos attacks taekwondo judge at the Olympics

This definitely is not a show of good sportsmanship on the part of Angel Matos. What did he do you ask? He was given the loss in the bronze medal match.

“Matos angrily questioned the call when he was declared the loser of the match for taking too much injury time after he hurt his leg. Fighters get one minute and he was declared the loser as soon as his time ran out.”

And he responded the only way he knew, with a roundhouse kick to the face of the referee. He did win a lifetime ban from the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) for “a strong violation of the spirit of taekwondo and the Olympics.” Angel, settle down and man up!

  2. Poor Ara Abrahamian… he can’t even win the gold medal for being the biggest jack@$$ at these Games. He’ll have to settle for the silver, which he’d probably throw away anyway.

    WTF, indeed.
