Theo Ratliff Signs a New Expiring Contract

August 20, 2008 – 4:56 pm by Justin

The 76er’s are bringing the big man home, 7 years after he was first traded away during Philly’s run to the 2001 Finals.

Since then, he’s played for four other teams, but more importantly his huge contract has been included in some monster deals.

Ratliff is like the Forrest Gump of the NBA transaction wire.  He’s been traded for Dikembe Mutumbo, Rasheed Wallace, Raef Lafrentz’s expiring contract, Sebastian Telfair, and most recently Kevin Garnett.

Terms of his new deal haven’t been released, but chances are, it will expire the year after some bigtime players become free agents.
