Coco Crisp shows three balls equals a walk

Big League Stew shows us that one umpire considers 3 balls the new walk. In last night’s Boston Red Sox-Baltimore Orioles game, Coco Crisp took a 2-2 pitch for a ball, tossed the bat and jogged to first. Even Crisp thought something was wrong, but when you are struggling at the plate like he is; you take what you can get.
