The Villification of Manny Ramirez

Manny Ramirez: Villain

First he assaulted a traveling secretary, then he “intentionally” took 3 straight k’s with his bat on his shoulder as “retaliation”, and now Red Sox management thinks Manny lied about an injury to take a couple of days rest.

Today Theo Epstein voiced his unhappiness with Ramirez when he said the Sox are open to trading him if he waives his no-trade clause — and the media continues to flame the Ramirez fire. Even the Boston Herald calls for his head.

How is it that the Red Sox can’t keep Manny happy and under control in Boston? He is one of their veteran players, helped them win the 2004 World Series, and a fan favorite. I think people should be questioning Terry Francona and Theo Epstein for mismanaging a star player.
