Forget the New York Mets, it’s all about the Food

The new home of the New York Mets will be Citi Field; which will probably have all types of great amenities, but what I just found out might be the organizations best idea to date. They have teamed with the famous Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group to unveil what I would call the best ballpark food menu to date.

In addition to the rumored Shake Shack and Blue Smoke the new stadium will also have a yet-to-be-named taqueria featuring “authentic” tacos and Pop Fries, USHG’s new fry stand concept (think the East Village’s Pomme Frites).

What is not to like. Shake Shack, good. Blue Smoke, good. Tacos, good. Pommes Frites, good. I am so hungry now. FEED ME! I am such a fatty.

They better serve wasabi mayo with the fries to keep it real.

If there was only a place for you to scarf down 300 wings. As a fellow fatty, you need to head down to DC to the Nats ballpark. Lots and lots of local fare, including the Famous Ben’s Chili Bowl, Five Guys burgers/fries, Noah’s pretzels, Boardwalk fries, Giffords ice cream, and Red Hot and Blue BBQ. Faties U-N-I-T-E
