Kobe leads the Lakers back

Lakers 87 Celtics 81 – The league MVP stepped up big. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 36 points, constantly hitting open jumpers and abusing whoever the Celtics put on him. Bryant wouldn’t let what happened at the end of game 2 happen again. He wasn’t going to be denied the ball. With 40 seconds left. Kobe drove the lane pump faked Ray Allen in the air and lofted up a soft 12 footer to basically secure the win and make the series 2-1.

With Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol struggling, another player needed to step up and help Kobe. That man would be the self proclaimed “Machine,” Sasha Vujacic. He came off the bench and bailed them out with his long-range shooting, scoring 20 points (7-for-10). And in my opinion came up with the biggest shot of the game. With the Celtics down 2, Eddie House missed an open jumper that would have tied the game. Coming back down the court, a open Vujacic hit an 3 right in front of the C’s bench to push the lead to five. The only member of the Boston Big Three that played well was Ray Allen (25 pts). The Celtics will need more scoring from KG and Pierce if they want to steal a game in LA.
