Things That Bother Me

We have the Belmont Stakes, The Stihl Timbersports Championships and Nascar. We’re also a week removed from the National Spelling Bee and the World Series of Poker is apparently ongoing.
Just because something can be gambled on, it doesn’t make it a sport. Just because something appears on ESPN, it doesn’t make it a sport.
After the jump, a closer look at how these events should really be categorized…
National Spelling Bee = homework
Timbersports Championships = chores
WSOP = way for old men to stay social
Nascar = commuting
Horse racing = Way to inform the colonists that the Tories are coming.
