I love eating contests and so does Chris Cooley
June 4, 2008 – 4:13 pm by King IngChris Cooley is apparently back from his honeymoon and resuming his usual Wednesday post on the Shutdown Corner. This week’s topic is near and dear to my heart. It is all about fast food and eating contests. Cooley talks about his love of the quarter-pounder with cheese from McDonald’s and his eating contests with his Washington Redskin teammates.
“The Ritz Carlton in St. Louis has the most unbelievable bacon I’ve ever tasted. Not only did I love the bacon, everyone on the team was blown away by the taste. Three or four of us decided to forget all other foods and have a bacon-eating contest. I won with 39 pieces and was was sick on the floor for the next hour in the visitor locker room.”
How can you not love a guy like this? I wonder if he would like to take me up on my challenge of 300 buffalo wings in 6 hours? I have the ultimate strategy for this!

Does the strategy include a fork? How hard do you think Cooley would rip into you for bringing utensils to a wing eating challenge?

The bet still stands….no way the King can polish off 300 wings in 6 hours. Money in the bank!
