Bet of the day 6/4

King Ing June 4, 2008 0

I, like many of my friends enjoy gambling. It ranges from games of acey-deucey at a BBQ to the pit games in a casino. One thing that is easy (you don’t actually have to watch) and enjoyable is wagering on sports. With this continuing post, I will pick one game a day. With the side being no better than -130. All sports are open and we will keep a running tally of how well or how poorly I do.

Home runs by Alfonso Soriano, Mark DeRosa, and Geovany Soto helped the Cubs to a 9-6 victory and pull the King back to even.

Today’s Pick: Boston Red Sox RL (-1.5) +120

Winners of 11 straight at home, the Red Sox look to take over first place tonight against Tampa Bay. Edwin Jackson is 0-1 with a 5.73 ERA in two starts vs the Red Sox this season, and 2-2 with a 5.50 ERA in six starts and three relief appearances lifetime. I think the Sox bats will give Josh Beckett the run support he has failed to get over the last two starts. He has a 2.77 ERA, and Boston scored just two runs while he pitched.
