Detroit Red Wings v Pittsburgh Penguins

Forget Obama and Clinton. Here’s your real Dream Ticket. With the exception of having the Rangers play themselves in the finals, the NHL couldn’t have asked for a better matchup. A dynamic young team, led by a pair of high scoring superstars, takes on a collection of old vets who have dominated the league for a decade.

So, can Sid the Kid and Evgeni “no cool nickname” Malkin lead the Penguins to their first Stanley Cup in 16 years? In a word, NO.

Experience matters, and the Detroit Red Wings are oozing with it. The Pens are deep, though their key players have never really gone deep in the playoffs. And don’t bring up Gary Roberts. I’m not impressed with anyone who won a Stanley Cup before Al Gore invented the internet.

The Red Wings have solid defense, and I trust Chris Osgood more than Marc Andre Fleury.

I do think it will be a tight series, and a fun one, so tune in. You’ll see the Red Wings win it in 7.

Its been reported that Gary Roberts once brought down a German warplane by pointing his finger at it and saying “Bang”. Would you be impressed with that? I am.
