The Celtics and Hawks have been trash talking all series long, but that all came to a head at the end of game 3 when Al Horford taunted Paul Pierce while he was on the ground. Pierce came back and does what “The Truth” does, which is throw up hand signals at the opposing bench. (He was fined 25k for the incident). There has been much speculation of what the gesture means. It ranges from the blogosphere calling it a gang sign to Celtics GM, Danny Ainge calling it a sign for “blood, sweat, and tears. Now WEEI has found pictures of Tommy Heinson and the Mayor Thomas M. Menino doing the same exact thing. I thought I knew what the signal meant, but now I have no idea.
